Meet Reshma
Your travel-planning mom friend behind Magic and Beyond Travels.
Travel planning wasn’t my first act, and honestly that is what makes me better at it.
I started out as an engineer, because this island girl has always believed the details matter, the process matters and winging it is wildly overrated. From there I spent years in education, pouring into students and growing right alongside them. That combination of analytical thinking and an educator’s heart eventually led me here, where strategy, timing and thoughtful pacing make all the difference.
I am a Caribbean girl living in Texas, a mom to two boys with absolutely no chill, and married to a man who once said, bless his heart, that he “didn’t really get the whole Disney thing.”
That changed the day I boarded a nine hour flight solo with our two year old, followed by a two hour Eurostar ride, just to get to Disneyland Paris. He met us there, smart man, and by the end of the trip the conversion was complete.
That trip taught me everything about planning, patience and comfortable shoes. Somewhere between the magic and the exhaustion, an obsession was born.
My years in education also shaped something I still believe deeply today: experiences are some of life’s best teachers. Sometimes that happens in a classroom, sometimes in a museum in Europe and sometimes on a child’s first walk down Main Street.
So if you need someone with the patience of a seasoned teacher who has survived many a Main Street meltdown, the analytical brain to sweat every detail so you do not have to and just enough Caribbean spirit to remind you that travel should feel like joy, you are in the right place.
A Little More of My Story
While theme parks sparked my love for planning, my travel experience stretches much further.
I’ve explored multiple countries across Europe on guided tours and have experienced how thoughtfully designed itineraries can make big trips feel seamless. I’ve also planned independent international travel, navigating flights, connections and cultural shifts firsthand.
Experiencing both structured and self-planned travel has given me perspective. I understand when travelers want guidance and when they want flexibility. That balance shapes how I support families today.
Fun Facts About Me
The same thoughtful planning I bring to my clients’ trips is how we travel as a family too.
